Be a pro at staying cool.

There are days when you can't decide whether or not to wear a base layer and you waste time with a debate you can't answer. Craft's Cool Mesh Superlight Sleeveless Base Layer answers the question for you. Wear it.

This is as minimal as a base layer can be. The top is made of Craft's C017 lightweight mesh fabric. Big holes woven with a hexachannel fiber gives plenty of opportunity for cooling with just a smidge of insulation. The material is also sufficiently elastic that you wear this for the advantages of a body-hugging fit without ever feeling encased.

Even though it's sleeveless, this base layer has gotten the same attention from Craft's ergonomic experts. The paneling wraps around you, with generous arm holes and seams that wrap around you.

The Craft Cool Mesh Superlight Base Layer comes in three colors and is available in sizes from X-Small to XX-Large.

A must if You Wear Bibs

  • Fit: Runs small

This is a must if you wear bib shorts. So light and form fitting that you don't even know it is on. But it prevents and chafing from the straps of the bib.

Super nice fabric against the skin

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Keeps me very comfortable for the long rides, very well made.

Also... we all have those old jerseys we acquired over the years that look good but may not be so comfortable, this base layer solves that problem too.

Incredible base layer for the price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have one other base layer and two of these. My Craft Cool Mesh's are by far the superior product. They keep my torso cool even when I'm pouring sweat going up the climbs here in Colorado. I spent a week down in Texas and the 96+ degree F heat and 90+% humidity weren't an issue either. I can't get over how light these things feel and how comfortable they are against the skin, almost as smooth feeling as silk (especially compared to my other base layer). My only complaint is that a medium was a little big for me, I'm 5'7" and weigh about 162, very muscular/lean build. With how well these things circulate air around my torso I can't for certain say if the fit is too big or if thats just the way they're supposed to fit. I'd recommend these to everyone, the reviews on this page are not over exaggerated.

Great Layer for the Heat

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Impressed how much the layer keeps be dry during hot temperatures. Also I barely feel it when I ride or remember it's on.

Best summer layer

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the best summer base layer on the market. Wearing it with your jersey actually keeps you cooler in the summer than without it. I found it works best on sweaty mtn bike rides. The quality and construction are top notch as well. Highly recommended.

As a roadie, I can say that it works well on sweaty road rides, too. After a ride, when I remove the layer it takes all the moisture with it, and I'm surprisingly dry. Still need the shower, though :)

wear it on every ride

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this base layer. Medium fits my 6ft1/165lb frame perfectly and it helps broaden the temperature range that I feel comfortable in. A lot of my rides start early in the morning and the base layer helps with providing a bit of extra warmth. When things get hot, it helps cool you down.
A win win
