    Keep it comfortable.

When winter is in full effect, you can either protect yourself and ride, or pack on the pounds in a comfy chair by the fireplace—your choice. We choose to ride, and the Craft Active Thermal Wind Tights will allow you to as well. Featuring proprietary weather-fighting fabrics and an ergonomic design, the Thermal Wind Tights are the perfect selection for anyone looking to keep the legs moving throughout the colder months.

Craft's Active Thermal Wind Tights' multi-panel design is made from a sophisticated blend of Craft's exclusive fabrics. The outer-layers of the tights use ultra-thin, laminated versions of polyester, polyamide, and elastic to provide windproof insulation without dissipating any of the tights' breathable characteristics. This comfort level is further enhanced by the inner lining's use of square-channeled microfleece that wicks moisture to the quick-drying surface. The microfleece, coupled with the softly brushed C392 fabric, also provides an insulating warmth. As a system, the Thermal Wind Tights' material selection works in harmony with the ergonomic, multi-panel cut. Together, the windproof tights follow the contours of the body to allow full freedom of movement.

For further comfort, the Thermal Wind Tights use the Craft Active chamois. Featuring an upgraded design, the 2012 chamois has improved both the anatomic and moisture transport characteristics of the pad. The Active chamois is now a seamless, laser cut pad made from top shelf Oeko-Tex fabrics and foams. Consisting of four-way stretch fabrics, the Active chamois provides specified support that counters to your movements. The new pad is also antimicrobial, and has been given a hydrophilic treatment to minimize moisture buildup.

The Craft Active Thermal Wind Tights are available in sizes from X-Small to XX-Large, and in the color Black.

Warm, wind stops, and doesn't pinch

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

These couldn't fit me any better - tight, but not constricting, and doesn't pinch the back of my knees. Doesn't droop out back either. Have used down to 30 degrees including some fast descents. Chamois seems decent - I haven ridden it up to 2 hours and it has been fine. The windstopping works well for me. They also seem to adapt well to rising body temp. They don't overheat my legs as the ride goes on. Good visibility accents. Liking the Craft stuff!

Not quite the quality I expected

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

These tights highlight the features of the Peal Izumu amphib tights I took for granted. I purchased these to replace my 10 year old amphib tights that suffered an end-of-life disaster when I took a recent spill on an icy road. The Craft tights do not have ankle zippers which I had no idea I had come to appreciate. Additionally, the craft tights are quite a bit thinner than the amphibs, and the wind breaking fabric appears to be an afterthought rather than a quality attempt to provide a wind breaking layer on the thighs.

I am pretty sure these tight would perform nicely as a 40-50 degree pair of tights. I have regular tights for that. I would not recommend these as replacement for your current pair of tights used when the temps dip into the teens and twenties.
