Costa Del Mar Lago Polarized Sunglasses - Costa 580 Glass Lens

These shades are large, boxy, and slightly heavy on the nose. They are large enough to fit over my 'frameless' seeing glasses and cover the entire eye socket to completely block out sunlight while sight fishing those elusive brown trout. The polarization on these costa 580 lenses is amazing! Probably the best i've ever owned. The only downfall i have noticed so far are the hinges. I had these glasses hanging around my neck and got a hug from a girl friend. The hinges bent but did not break. I was able to bend them back to useable....good thing backcountry stands behind their products.

Great sunglasses. The size of the frame is bigger than I thought.

Do not trust Costa Del Mar and their life time warranty.
Their warranty only covers glasses they carry parts for.Once the stop making your glasses and they do not have the parts they will only offer you a small discount on a new pair of glasses.
Leaving you stuck paying for a new pair or using the old ones if you can.
They should replace the glasses if they don’t carry parts but they WILL NOT.
Basically their warranties are not lifetime as they falsely advertise. Feel free to ask me I know first hand.

I am posting this message on every review page on their glasses I find until they honor their warranty.

This is my first pair of Costa del Mar sunglasses and I'm so happy with them! I haven't had glass lenses before and was worried about the weight. While I do notice that they are heavier, they aren't TOO heavy...and the advantages of the 580 lens outweigh an added ounce or two. They are crystal-clear, reduce glare on the water and look super hip (I got the black and white). And, I like how sturdy and durable they are. I'll have them for years.
