Contourwear AnyWear Convertible Skirt - Women's - 2007 BCS

My cousin was asking me about good travel clothing for the Panama area. I recommended Contourwear as they have great travel clothing. She bought this skirt along with several other Contourwear items and raved about the products when she returned. She met me for coffee in her short version of the convert skirt and she looked great. The zipper was covered by fabric so I had no idea is was the convert skirt. She mentioned using the long version on cold plane rides and bus rides through the countryside. She raved about this skirt more than her other clothes because it was about the only thing that she wore the whole trip. She also mentioned that she loved the hidden pocket, perfect for a key or a credit card.

I really liked the material and cut of this skirt. The only problem is that I'm petite (5'1") and the skirt had a very high waist. I tend to wear things a little lower on my hips than at my natural waist, so I felt a little constricted by the high waist. The material was great! Could definitely pass as formal or casual. The slit at the bottom was also cute, but since I'm so short, the skirt just made me look really really short and like I was wearing a big bag. The skirt was a bit wide towards the bottom for me, but the hip curvature was good. I was really sad to return this skirt, especially since the zip-off, shorter skirt was a great length and not too short.

This is a really useful skirt, but it runs big. I usually wear an 8 in Contourwear, but I was swimming in it and had to get a 6. With the bottom zipped off it comes just to the knee; the long version is mid-calf.

I love this skirt. Before it arrived I was all worried it would be the wrong size - I am an in between size and I hate skirts just that bit too large so they constantly twist on my waist - but no - this skirt was a delight from the moment it came out of the packet. It's different, no doubt about that, but it is light, fits beautifully, and looks so smart I have even taken to wearing it to work. I bought it for my walking hols in the UK which I haven't started yet but I am even more looking forward to it now I have this skirt.
Let me tell you I have spent about a year researching these sorts of skirts and this is the best there is - price wise and everything else wise. Happy Happy Happy!

Ugly color beige - looks like a dirt color so not very attractive for a blonde. The zipped off length is too short for anyone over age 25. So I would request a redesign that made the shorter length at least to knee or 2 inches below and the zip on layer to have maybe 2 pleats in it.

My order arrived in time for my departure on a 3-week hiking and traveling trip in France. The skirt was the most useful item, even for light hikes. It washes great, is slimming and the front pleat on the long version gives it flair. The zip is very discreet.
