Adds Capability

Does everything as advertised. I use it on my Contour GPS. I wish i didn't need to shell out the extra bucks but I knew I would going into the contour purchase. The best part is I can put my helmet on and see just what the camera sees. I know the shot I am getting before an activity. Having the ability to make changes to camera settings is a big benefit. Checking battery and memory card levels is also possible with this card.

So all the reviews I've read say this lets your phone act as a viewfinder. But can it also allow you to playback movies you've already recorded?

You can use the phone as a view finder and adjust all the camera settings on the fly with the phone, but you can not use it as a playback device. Keep in mind the Contour is a camera for capturing and not a true playback device to begin with. Even when connected to your PC/Mac, the video is a bit jumpy when playing back directly off the contour. It is great if you take the time to put it on your computer for playback. So because of this, there is no playback option built into connectview.
