The Compatriot La Mosca Snowboard is the all-mountain freestyle weapon of choice of shred legend Kevin Jones. The La Mosca features a FlatCamber profile designed to make pressing and stomping landings a little easier, without sacrificing high-speed control or pop off the lip. Offered in two sizes: a 148cm for jib and park riding, and a slightly stiffer 160cm for cliffs, chutes, and all-around ripping.

  • Cowboy Core uses multi-density tip-to-tail wood for pop and durability
  • FlatCamber technology uses a flatter, mellower version of traditional camber
  • CFX91 carbon stringers add ollie power
  • Sintered UHMW p-tex sidewalls for durability and vibration dampening
  • Durasurf 4000 sintered base for awesome wax retention and all-around speed

La Mosca top scratches

The La Mosca seems to have a soft top coating, it scratches very easily, when it arrived it was already scratched. It is probably more visible because of its dark color and glossy top coat. Otherwise I really like it, in the light the wood grain is visible.

Close up of the base

Base was a little rough when i first got it but it was still super fast.

The top sheet seems to feel like glue. i didn't even put a stomp pad on and skating to a lift/tow rope didn't give me any problems.

interesting board

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

i needed a new park board and this was on sale so i picked it right up. it's pretty flexy but stiffer than some other park boards i've tried. medium stiff is a pretty good description.

when the describe their flat camber or "mellow camber"

nuh uh. this is positive camber. you can feel it and see it.
