Jack of all trades.
Commencal designed the 2010 Meta 5.5 VIP Full Carbon Frame for total mountain domination. This silly-light frame is built to take you to the top in a serious hurry then back to the bottom even faster.
- Contact System suspension design for small bump sensitivity with capacity to absorb big impacts without bottoming out
- Four cartridge bearing swingarm pivot integrated with forged bottom bracket case for perfect alignment
- Oversized axle rests on two stainless steel rings inside the forged section of the front triangle to avoid any risk of ovalizing the frame
- Super-light frame climbs as well as it descends

Hi, I have read a lot of reviews on this frame. the verdict is mixed. seems like the frames break quite easily. your price seems to indicate you are just trying to unload them quickly. however, i've read other reviews (bikeradar, for one) that praise this frame. what's the deal? do you ship to canada?
I bought one from them after reading all the reviews. It seems that '09 and before they had QC problems they fixed in '10 and beyond. I like mine so far!

If I knew it was at least a pound lighter than my Salsa Cabellero I might be real interested. I don't see how you can sell this expensive of a frame without telling what it weighs. Anyone know?
I can tell you that my aluminum version, in size medium, weighs a whopping 8.05 pounds-- I'm not sure how much the carbon one weighs, but (in my opinion) it would have to take a LOT off of that for it to be competitive. For what it's worth.
I didn't bother to weigh my frame. However, I am fairly certain that it won't be breaking on me. Commencal is known for their DH bikes.
sounds like 5.79 lbs without shock per this website: http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=37912
