Mike is right. It is lined with a lofty, long-nap fleece, and shelled with a wool/acrylic woven. This is an amazing piece that is not totally windproof

Stan, this could be worn as a stand alone garment but it is not as thick as some of the other flannel shirt jackets out there.

This shirt is the best thing since sliced bread, chocolate milk, Mom's apple pie, and cute puppies with big soulful eyes. Instantly warm, easy to wear and move in, looks good. I got this for Christmas and have worn it every day since, except for one washing day. Handles light wind and cold temps. I'm 6 ft. 190, 44 chest, and size large is good on me. A wearable warm fuzzy.
