Columbia added Microtemp XF II insulation to the Men’s Wildcard II Softshell Jacket, so you stay warmer when you’re slashing pow runs, summiting peaks, and hiking in the winter. The two-way stretch softshell fabric allows plenty of breathability and enough weather resistance to hold off snow and light rain. A removable hood and removable powder skirt let you adjust this Columbia jacket to meet your needs, so you don’t need a quiver of shells in your closet.
Bottom Line: One softshell for every day of the winter.

Try wearing a Gore Windstopper in steady rain, you'll be soaked too. This is a great jacket, very warm and extremely functional. Way too warm to be wearing in temps that allow rain.
Change me.
