Wildcard II Softshell Jacket - Men's

Columbia added Microtemp XF II insulation to the Men’s Wildcard II Softshell Jacket, so you stay warmer when you’re slashing pow runs, summiting peaks, and hiking in the winter. The two-way stretch softshell fabric allows plenty of breathability and enough weather resistance to hold off snow and light rain. A removable hood and removable powder skirt let you adjust this Columbia jacket to meet your needs, so you don’t need a quiver of shells in your closet.

Bottom Line: One softshell for every day of the winter.

eg. en16752 etc

soft shells are NOT water proof
its just a pertex coating

if your in 20mins of hard down pours in a soft shell then of course your going to get wet

there are plenty of cheaper waterproofs out there
so id return this and get a waterproof
if your mostly goin to be in rainy conditions

Try wearing a Gore Windstopper in steady rain, you'll be soaked too. This is a great jacket, very warm and extremely functional. Way too warm to be wearing in temps that allow rain.

This jacket holds up awesome. Water resistant and breathable, and the seams are sewn tough. This jacket can handle whatever you can dish out.

What!?

This jacket wet through in the rain after 20 minutes. My t-shirt underneath was soaked on the shoulders. There is an untaped stitch directly on top of the shoulder that traps water and pulls it into the jacket. Not cool!
