Whirlibird Mitten

Columbia gave the Whirlibird Mitten a healthy dose of insulation and innovative Omni-Heat lining to keep you warm on cold and snowy ski slopes. Omni-Heat's thermal reflective lining utilizes mirrored dots that bounce your body heat back to you to deliver added warmth without throwing in any extra weight-adding insulation. Besides, there's enough insulation in this mitten already thanks to the MircoTemp XF insulation that'll keep your fingers toasty and warm during frigid lift rides and windy summit runs. Meanwhile, an Omni-Tech insert gives this mitten waterproof and breathable protection to keep your hands comfortably dry in snowy conditions, and a 3-Point Precurved design sets the mitten at your hand's natural position for long-lasting comfort. The mitten also features a PU palm for a solid grip on your ski poles.

mittens are not warm and hard to manipulate objects

The mittens are not warm and hard to manipulate objects. I am quite disappointed.

Keep my fingers warm in cold cold temps while skiing in WI. Also easy to fit hot hands in mittens

This is a very mitten. However, it appears too big for me. But if plan to ski this will help you get warm.

Cute and functional

I was going to order a M but they were out of stock so based on other reviews, I ordered the L & they fit just fine! I did not measure my hands but believe they’re “average” sized. Most likely could’ve gotten away with a M but the L is great. Almost wonder if the M would’ve been too tight. Plus, they have the adjustable strap on the wrist which adds some wiggle room either way.

Good for the price point

Wore these today for the first time skiing at Snowshoe, WV. Low was around 36 F and felt like 28 F with windchill. I did put a hand warmer inside of them (no pocket specific for this purpose) and my hands stayed pretty warm. My thumbs got a little cold, but not too bad. I tend to have freezing hands all the time so overall pretty good. I plan to buy some glove liners to wear inside and I think I’ll be all set. I agree with the other reviews that they run pretty small. I have a small/medium hand and the mediums are alllmost too small, but they work. I probably could have worn a large as well.

Super Comfy Cozy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gloves are awesome. They are going to be a perfect addition to my ski gear. They are long and fit well under my jacket. They cinch tightly. They are comfy inside and very warm. I would recommend these gloves to others.

Love these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these mittens! They are so much warmer and cushier than I could have thought. Finally my fingers are not freezing anymore! You will want to order up one size - I would normally be medium, but I got a large, based off what other reviews said.

Very cute

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gloves were very cute, and are always easy to spot amidst a group of gloves. On warm days they run a little hot.
