I spilled coffee on these shorts the first day I got them and it wiped off without leaving any stain whatsoever! I'm not a big fan of the internal underwear thing but I usually cut them out anyways. So far I am very happy with the shorts!

pretty good shorts

I only own 1 pair, and that seems like enough so far... but I do like them cause they dry super fast and are really durable

Get them While You Can

Cabelas told me that Colombia has just stopped making these.

These shorts are the brother to the Snake River Shorts which are now no longer made. They were my favorite shorts!

You cannot beat the price and quality.

Great Shorts

I own 1 pair of these shorts and I wear them just about every day. I was about to order some more from this site and thought I would give people the heads up about how awesome they were. I put them on in the morning and I'm set for the day, throw on a polo and I'm ready for lunch, time to go to the lake?, good, take off my shirt and I'm ready to ski. I love these shorts, get some.

Columbia Whidbey II Water Shorts

Great shorts and will last forever for kayaking, swimming, and dry land workouts; quick drying, light weight, easily packable, with pockets and a convenient mesh; not very sexy, but a better option if a spandex or neoprene fit would scare the locals.

Recommend

I have about a dozen of these, and wear them mostly for daily 'round town use. Some of these I have had for over five years, and none are anywhere near worn out. Some older ones, e.g., 2007, have contrasting piping that give too much of a "swimsuit" look for my taste. But overall the Whidbeys are my favorite short...very comfortable.

Great, Great Shorts

I own four pairs of these, and they never disappoint. Definitely helps to make sure they fit fairly snug, as there is no string. I found that out the first time I went swimming with them. However, these seem to be a 'little' bit sturdier than comparable shorts. I haven't had a pair of these tear on me, which is really handy. On a bit of a different note, they look and feel great, and are awesome to wear just about everywhere.

Can these shorts be worn while going to run errands?

No. There is an unspoken law that says that clothes must be used for the purpose indicated by their title or they will combust.

Perfect for Summer.

I own at least 5 pairs of these shorts. They're durable, lightweight, and dry extremely quickly. If you plan on using these in more situations than just water, you might want to do away with the netting inside because it will get in the way of boxers or boxer briefs. Buy several pairs and save yourself the time and effort of ordering more.

The sizes on some color options are listed as "6in" and "8in" while others are listed as "reg" and "long." Is it safe to assume 6in = reg and 8in = long?

As those are the only two inseams we make that would make sense to me...

They are what they say they are

These shorts dry VERY fast - much faster than most swin shorts. I use them for kayaking and swimming. The interior mesh briefs actually stay wet longer than the rest of the exterior fabric, that's about the worst thing I can say about them, and they feel completely dry to the touch in minutes.

I have seen more expensive versions of these that look more like "shorts" and a little less like "swim shorts" - but the price/performance ratio on these rocks.

If they wear for a couple of seasons, I'll be mighty impressed.

Good for what I use them for

These are a really good short for swimming in. They are long enough so I don't have to show my entire thigh, but short enough to not make me look like grand masta thug. The thing I like most about them is the fact that they dry wicked fast....good buy.
