Voltage II Full-Zip Jacket - Men's

The active fit ensures the Columbia Voltage II Full-Zip Jacket easily slides under a hard shell for a day of skiing or stands alone on a crisp fall day. Columbia gave this fleece jacket a water-resistant finish to repel moisture and a vertical chest pocket to hold your cell phone or car keys while you ski, hike, or just relax at the lodge.

  • Heavy sweater-face fleece is brushed for softness and re-spun for durability
  • Omni-Shield water-repellent finish makes it easy to brush off water before it soaks in
  • Chamois lining in collar for comfort

Bottom Line: Kick up your power with the Voltage II.

great jacket

I bought this jacket for the boyfriend this Christmas and he loved it. He's about 6'1 155lb. The medium fits him perfectly. He wore it on a road trip to DC and Connecticut. It kept him warm and looks great. The only problem is that wind goes right through it.

Great Layering Piece

By:

I bought this jacket (in "Moon Dust") for my husband as a layering piece for his rain/ski jacket and it's been great thus far. He is 6'4" and about 210lbs so I opted for the large jacket rather than the XL - the sleeves are a hair too short, but the torso is perfect.

The jacket is a great weight - light enough to go under a shell and heavy enough to wear alone when the shell isn't needed. It also looks great on!

really versatile

Due to it's tight weave on the fleece, it looks like wool. With only a chest pocket, it can be worn as a sweater or cardigan, but with the DWR (Omni-Shield), can work as an outer layer. Will fend off a mild breeze at most. This is a great layering piece! Not quite as soft as some other fleece peices, but still nice and comfy and looks sharper. The fit is great, no bagginess in the waist area, but still enough room for broad shoulders/chest up top. Check out the pic for a more detailed look at the fabric.

Very thin material, but still great!

Great fit as other reviewer stated. I also agree with the fact that it can be worn as a sweater, but due to the thin material I would leave it to that. Layering would be a possible application, but there are better choices for less cost. I'm surprised the material is so thin, almost a "mesh" you can see through. Columbia's other jackets for about $29 are much thicker, closer to a 200g Polartec but I like this one so much it still gets 4 stars.
