Columbia Torrent Ridge left fingers cold

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Spent New Year in Bucharest. Minus 10 Centigrade, I think that's about plus 10 F. Hands were getting cold just walking round the city so popped into a shop and bought a pair of Columbia Torrent Ridge II Gloves. Thought they would make my hands toasty but after 10 minutes outdoors I found my finger tips getting cold again. Obviously better but I wouldn't like to hike in Alaska wearing them. They aren't bad gloves but would rate their performance as no better than "average".
