With a waterproof Gore-Tex XCR membrane, the Columbia Men's Titanium Zephyr XCR Trail Running Shoes keep your feet dry as you splash through spring puddles. Cross-terrain support provides torsional rigidity, helping prevent ankle rolls, and Columbia's anatomically contoured footbed feels cushiony throughout your running season. The lightweight Zephyr XCR Trail Shoes' upper mesh material lets your feet breath as you sweat out your uphill battle, and the trail-specific rubber outsole provides traction on any terrain.

Bottom Line: Lengthen your stride on your homeward stretch—without having to dodge the puddles—in Columbia's Titanium Zephry XCR Trail Running Shoes.

Very nice...

When I went into the market for a new pair or running shoes these ones somehow popped up, and I decided to try em out. So far I have not been dissapointed! I have put quite a few miles on these shoes, and they only now begin to show slight signs of wear... The rubber on bottom wears slightly (of course), and the rubber/plastic pieces around the laces have begun to come loose slightly. Nothing major, or that affects the performance. Still very good grip on surfaces, and also waterproof thanks to the gore-tex (have put the shoe in creeks and rivers, not getting wet feet). Highly recommend these, very much worth it.

As the name of it

I am excited to get it shipped from the U.S, because I am living in Canada and we don't have it here.
As the name of it, it is extremely light. When I got it, I even thought they forgot to put things in the box.
I've not got a chance to test the waterproof thing, but with Gore-tex I presume that it would be nice.
Overall, I would recommend anyone who wants a pair of light multi-functional running shoes to get this.

Titanium Zephyr XCR Trail Running Shoe keep my feet dry

By:
March 27, 2008

The first pair I received and was defective - cut eyelets for laces. This site immediately shipped a new pair and paid for my shipping back the defective ones. I bought these shoes to run on paved trails with bad weather. I tested them immediately since the day I received them there was a major flood in the area. I went through puddles 2" deep and my feet were dry. Test passed with full marks. Compared to my usual running shoes (Saucony Hurricane 8) which are for a mild pronator, these have a more neutral positioning, much less stability control and slightly less cushioning. They also have much better grip on the wet surfaces, which is what I was after. Size it's true. I am a 10.5 with a narrow foot, and the 10.5 fits me well with some room to spare in width. My only complain is that the laces are not easily tightened in the front. They are very light for trail shoes, hence the name Titanium, I guess. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to run on wet pavement or trails.

Comfortable

I bought these shoes blind for an adventure race I was doing. Worth every penny. Not once in the twenty miles did I worry about the shoes being uncomfortable or heavy or anything. They provided great balance when running down steep rocky hills or scrambling through brush. Great shoe!

Bought for snowshoe racing...

By:
March 31, 2008

I had these shoes shipped to my hotel before a snowshoe race (marathon) in Vermont as a last minute back-up pair for the event. I have tried them 2 days before the race on the road for a quick 30 minutes: to me they are a little heavier that I expected, but still ok considering that they are gore-tex shoes, and I found them a little stiff (as many trail running shoes)... but overall I thought that I should be fine during a snowshoe race. I decided to start the race with them, and after 10k they were so wet and so heavy that I had to change and put traditionnal running shoes with plastic bag around my feet for the rest of the race... I don't think that they are waterproof at all! So, overall for the price you have an average running shoe, but you should not count on the waterproof property for extreme condition. Cheers!
