Columbia named it the Men’s Ten Trail Fleece Jacket because it can go anywhere from a light day hike up the canyon to acting as a warm midlayer on a rainy weeklong backpacking trip. Fleece wicks moisture away from your skin, maintains warming abilities even when wet, requires little maintenance, and dries extremely quickly. A urethane coating enhances the life and durability of the fleece which minimizes tearing or other damage, and Underarm zips vent out your hot air when you work up a sweat.

Bottom Line: Cover all sorts of ground when you wear the Columbia Ten Trail Fleece Jacket.

When worn by itself over a t-shirt this jacket kept me completely warm on a 20 degree day. The nylon material on the inside of the sleeves was cool against the skin, but that could easily be counter-acted by wearing a long-sleeved shirt underneath. Having one very nice pocket knife at the bottom of Lake Superior and a second at the bottom of a UP bog, I have a great appreciation for the zippered pockets, too.

Great jacket by itself down to about 30 degrees, maybe even lower if active and in the sun. Below that I'd use the Omnitech outer shell with it. Comfortable to wear, excellent windbreaker, Large pockets - I'd buy another one without hesitation.

Actually, the "internal" pocket is on the outside of the chest. There is no access to any of the pockets from the inside of the jacket, which is a bummer, because if you zip the jacket into your shell, you have no inside pocket, even though your shell did.

liner

Hey there, actually I bought a the Columbia Double Whammy size XL, shell only no liner at a local thrift store in brand new condition for $8.00. Cool huh, then I called up Columbia and they gave me the name Ten Trail Fleece for the liner so I found your company through Amazon.com, and the rest is history. Good thing to, cause I live in Grand Forks N.D. The recent temps have been about 10 20 below with wind. Sure am glad I bought the liner, thanks for a great product!!
