When you had out for a long day on the trails pull on the Columbia women’s Sun Goddess ¾ Sleeve Hooded Sweatshirt. This lightweight polyester shirt wicks moisture when you work up a sweat, and with a UPF rating of 40 it protects your shoulders and upper arms from the sun. The rouched sleeves add a touch of style to your mountain retreats, while ties at the end of the arms hold your sleeves in place when you need roll them up to cool off.
Bottom Line: Focus on the trails, not on your sunburn.

The style, fit and usefulness of this shirt are all perfect, but the hood is too large and since the fabric is so lightweight, it doesn't stay down when not in use. The hood is especially bothersome if one has to bend down for any reason...then it flops down on one side of the face or the other and is generally a nuisance.
I cut off the hood (all but about 3/4 ") and finished off the neckline by rolling the excess fabric inside and stitching it to the neckline and now this is the perfect summer jacket!
Not a sweatshirt...

This is definitely not a sweatshirt...unless you consider a sweatshirt to be something made from moisture wicking fabric. I was expecting a warm, medium weight shirt (as I have never purchased anything made of polyester omni-shade) and it is very thin - not warm. The great thing is that it seems to be pretty wrinkle resistant and the sizing was good.
