The Columbia Little Boys’ Steens Mountain Fleece Jacket offers comfort and warmth to your little man on the move. Made with 100% polyester fleece, the Steens Jacket holds his body heat in to keep him toasty, and it prevents light wind and moisture from sending him inside. Hand-warmer pockets give his paws a place to hide from the cold, and the quick-drying fleece gets him back outside the next day.
Bottom Line: Keep him comfy when the mercury drops.

It's a very nice fleece jacket but since I am only getting one a year, I ended up returned the fleece jacket and got a land's end windbloc and water resistant.
Reason:
1. The material is too thin, I don't think it's windproof
2. It does not shed water
3. The material looks like it would pill after wash.
If you are getting your little one more than one fleece jacket, then it's a great looking fleece jacket. I love the price and color.

Getting a kid's Ballistic Fleece would have given you windproofness as well as water restistance. Both fleeces are pill resistant.

This fleece isn't windproof, so without a shell or another top layer it will be too cold to wear when it is windy or even very cold.

This is the perfect jacket for little men. It's warm but not too bulky. My son won't wear anything that hinders his activities & this is the one jacket I found that won't slow him down but still keeps him warm. Excellent price as well!

there is no lining in this jacket. It is a fleece fabric with a polyester pocket.

going into the Toddler sizing would get you a 3T if you are set on that size. a 4/5 will get you more time before your child will outgrow it. My little one doesn't use it for layering, so we did pop up a size and rolled the cuff back

This is the best jacket ever! Easy to wear, easy to wash (and that is essential for a little fella) and it keeps my little one warm and cozy. Would highly recommend to all! :)

I bought the Little Boys Jacket as a Christmas Gift for my best friend's Grandson. It arrived at his home very guickly. He had to wait til Christmas though. When he opened his gift, he and his father were woed at how beautiful it was. It fit him just right. He said "It's soft & warm". I will put Backcountry.com on my Favorite Seller List and I am glad I picked you for the little boys gift. Now I'd like to get me something too.

My 3 year old lived in this jacket last year. We live in Chicago and even on the coldest days, he would insist on wearing the little red/black jacket under his winter jacket. He was busting out of it by the end of spring and am glad to have found another for the fall. We have always "air-dryed" their clothing and this looks great after numerous washings. No pilling, no wear marks. Thank you backcountry...

This is an excellent jacket for chilly days but not windy ones, we like to layer it with the Columbia river jacket for an instant cold weather coat. This is the 2nd Columbia fleece I've bought for my oldest son, but the one he outgrew held up nicely through many washings and can be passed to his brother. I just wouldn't recommend drying it on a very high heat.

I have bought many of these jackets as gifts for little boys, big boys, toddler boys, little girls, toddler girls and big girla, my son and his wife. Every one loves them. Color are nice, patterns are nice, upkeep is easy, and weight is nice. You can't beat Columbia for the price.

Love Columbia fleece jackets! My 4 yr old boy & 6 yr old girl LOVE these jackets. They're durable, soft, easy for kids to get on, and include the "must-have" pockets for fun items kids love to tote around. A great buy!!
