As your snow-shredding tweenager daughter tells you, bibs are not just for babies.
When your daughter was two, she only had time for pink and dollies. Now that's she a bit older, she's turned into a raging snow monster, shredding and ripping tricks like nobody's business. You can't protect her from the rough-and-tumble world of competitive snowboarding, but you can keep her warm and dry in the Columbia Girls' Snowslope II Bib Pant. This insulated bib pant rises up in front and adjusts in back so your snow-breathing lady-dragon gets a perfect fitting pant, every time she puts them on.
To keep water out, durable nylon HC 3000 is coated with OmniShield. This proprietary treatment helps the pant fabric shed moisture like your cat sheds in summer. Your young lady can ski or board through storms for non-stop freshies without requiring an outfit change at lunch. Slimtech synthetic insulation keeps her legs warm without adding bulk. She can flip off cliffs (gulp) with the best of 'em and not get hung up by overly poofy pants.
The high-rise bib offers added weather protection for her body and reduces the chances of snow sneaking down her pants as she sticks the landing in an explosion of powder. Adjustable suspenders mean you're bound for a fight; she'll want her pants low like the boys, and you'll want them to fit. Good luck with that one—sometimes it's easier to count the little victories, like the fact that she's actually wearing the pant. If she doesn't shoot up more than two inches over the summer, the grow cuff might let you get another season's worth of wear out of this pant. Again, good luck.

Best ski bib for the money
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: XL
Sad that my 13-yo daughter, who's lean but has some curves, can no longer wear the kids' size L or XL in these because these are the best ski bibs for the money! Not too bulky while still being super-warm. Buy these for as long as you can. Definitely look at the sizing charts before buying; I think the torso length is just a bit short.
Cute but not the right fit
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
I bought these for my 7 year old in a size small, and they barely got her. I would recommend sizing up if you want them to last for more than one season. We returned them for a larger size.
Does the trick!
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
I bought these for my 6 yo and she's a bit particular about how clothing fits. No issue with these. She put them on and didn't look back as she headed out into the snow.
Warm and very comfortable
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: X-Large
This bib is everything I hoped for! The inside is very soft and although they are a tad big, the waist adjusters allow me to tighten them for a more slim look or loosen them for extra mobility. When I first put them on, the leg cuffs ended a hair too short (which is not surprising as I have long legs), but I was able to lengthen the cuff inseam and they fit perfectly. I ordered them in Bright Plum and am very happy that they are bright but not obnoxious. I will definitely be getting good use with this bib!!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I picked these up for my kids to use on the slopes this winter. We wanted to make sure that they were comfortable and protected from the snow and cold while sliding all over the hill this year. They have worked great for that purpose.
The fit seems pretty true. My only complaint is that I wish they had made the shoulder straps longer on these. They seem roomy enough that the kids could both use them for a couple of seasons, except that the shoulder straps won't go any longer. This may end up limiting the amount of use we can get out of them. Outside of that, these are a great bib.
