Underneath the cute styling of the Columbia Girls' Snow Flame Jacket lies an Omni-Heat lining to keep you toasty-warm and waterproof construction that keeps your jacket from turning soggy and wet in the snow. As part of Columbia's Titanium line, this insulated jacket sports highly-durable construction, a supremely comfortable fit, and plenty of adjustable options. In all, it's a great-looking jacket that you'll want to wear to the mountain and when you head into town with your friends.

  • Shell constructed with Omni-Tech waterproof breathable fabric to provide protection from rain, snow, hail, and sleet without trapping sweat
  • Omni-Heat uses silver dots on shell’s interior to reflect body heat back to your body rather than letting it dissipate away—it’s like having an emergency space blanket built right into the jacket
  • Storm hood, outer and inner cuffs, and powder skirt are all adjustable

Very good ski jacket

This ski jacket has a load of features; some that aren't even mentioned in the description.
The jacket itself is relatively lightweight and the Omni-heat lining does its job. The hood is removable which is great when it's not pouring or snowing heavily. In addition, the hood has an adjustable tab (velcro) that is great when you're not wearing a helmet underneath. Unfortunately, no drawstrings for the hood. The neck lining is very soft and made of a fleece-like material. Definitely will not chafe the chin and neck.
The arms do not have Omni-heat lining but are warm by themselves. Still, if it's colder outside (freezing and below) you will need a mid-layer. Also, the inner cuff is made of a neoprene-like material that has thumb holes. Perfect for keeping those hands warm. A small thing to note is that the inner cuff is quite snug (I got a medium) and will require some effort to put your hand through.
The 2 side pockets are rather small and wouldn't make for great hand warmers. But at least they do not double as vents. The material used is very soft. The inner zip up pocket is the perfect size for a smart phone or media player. There is also a hole above the pocket for earphones. The goggles pocket is a nice touch and does not interrupt the Omni-heat lining. Perfect for warming up those goggles, although it will create fog once you take them out.
The powder skirt is sturdy but does have a small opening in front center, which will allow some snow through should you wipe out epically.
All in all, it's an incredibly durable ski jacket. It can also double as a rain jacket. With the hood removed, it is a great casual winter coat. The temperature ranges for this jacket are from upper 30s F to perhaps 0 F. Layer according to the situation. Any warmer and the Omni-heat will heat you up too much. The styling is great and is almost gender-neutral while retaining a touch of femininity. I'm very happy with this jacket.

    Perfect for these conditions:

    Most important features:
    -Removable hood
    -Powder skirt
    -Styling and color

    Snow Flame Jacket is awesome

Bought this jacket for my 11 year old daughter. When I got it, I was surprised at how lightweight it is. Then I read the tags describing the Omni-Heat reflective technology. My daughter loves the lining and it keeps her at a nice even temperature, plus it's not bulky like a lot of winter jackets. Very pleased with this purchase.
