We bought these for our daughter. Trying to camp with a 4.5 year old around water means they are going to get wet. They fit great around the waist. They were a little long, but we should be able to get 2 summers out of them. They dry fast. I would not go camping without them!

My daughter wore these in Iceland in July-good for the south but too light weight for the north. The pants are light weight were great for what they were designed for.

The styling and construction is great, the sizing is off. I have twins and ordered these for my daughter and the boys version for my son. My daughter is still wearing size 8 Columbia shorts and my son easily wears other Columbia M bottoms, but the 10 in these was more like an 8.
