Columbia Silver Ridge Crew - Short-Sleeve - Men's - 2010 BCS

bought this after reading other reviews - looking for something with good wicking ability and comfort. Was true to size. Did not wick well unless there was a strong breeze (used mostly in Muir Woods National Monument while hiking). Worst feature was lack of stain resistance - I either got dirt on the back between the shirt and a small backpack or my leather belt rubbed it the wrong way. Either way, the stain did not come out after repeated washings with various detergents and stain removers. To cap it off, I dribbled something on the front - those stains were treated immediately and laundered later in the day. Nothing that goes on this shirt comes off. Can't recommend this one at all - good thing these folks have a great return policy.

I own several Columbia synthetic shirts, and this is by far the heaviest of them all. It weighs at least twice as much as my others. It does wick well and dry quickly, but so do the others. This shirt also cost more than my other Columbia shirts. Nice shirt, but for the money and the weight(which matters to backpackers), I will stick with other shirts from Columbia.

Pricey here!!! Picked up the black and grout at BPS for $20.00 a piece on sale. They do wick away moisture and dry well without the funk smell! Comfortable and wear well. They are not light but fit the bill!!!

I ordered one of these shirts a month ago, and once it arrived I quickly ordered another. It wicks moisture very well and is very comfortable to wear.

After the sleeve was fully submersed in a river up to the shoulder, I wrung it out and it dried completely within 15 minutes.

I wear this when hiking with a 15-20 pack and it breathes very well thanks to vents on each side at the shoulder/armpit.

I would give five stars except for my only complaint, the shirt is a bit on the heavy side. I bought it for use on a backpacking trip to the Wind Rivers, and was hoping for something a little lighter.
