Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pant - Boys' - 2007 BCS

My, son, whose motor never shuts off until 9:00 p.m. loves these pants. He has played his heart out in them, and they have had several washings, and are still going strong. The best part is that they are light and thin, but STRONG! My son does not like a lot of bulk to his clothes, because it is way too distracting for him. So, clothes must be soft, comfy, and unnoticed. He has a pair of Old Navy zip-off convertible pants, but the cargo pockets are way too bulky and bunchy! He also is very tall and thin, so the 12's worked on him with the cinch waist, but we will have to let the hem out very soon, which I just assume I must do, because clothes are made for the larger masses anymore. But these pants are great! We had tried LL Bean's zip offs, and they are incredibly wide on him.These are great and still standing up to all his action! I just need them made in SLIM and TALLS and Jackpot it will be!

The pants were well constructed and I would have liked to keep them; however, the sizing was way off. I tried both a 10 & 12 and neither one fit my 10 year old. I wasn't going to order a 3rd pair so I gave up trying.

The pants fit perfect, light weight. The biggest problem is that we ordered two pairs. When we went to unzip the pants the first time, the zipper broke off and the pants are now permanently shorts! The other pair worked fine.

Great styling, quality construction. That said, I ordered these in a 10 for my tall/slim 9 year old son and found they were quite short and narrow (he often needs to wear slims). He wears plenty of other Columbia M bottoms (10/12) -- he got 2 new pairs of Columbia hiking shorts this summer and they are very roomy. Looks like if he is to wear this pant we will need to size up to a 12. He is just going into Gap size 10 and LL Bean 10 are too short but still too wide. I ordered him a size 12 in an LL Bean pant and I could have put two of him into the width of the pant.

These pants worked out great for my son. They are lightweight yet durable. They are also very comfortable.

These pants are great! Bought them for a trip to Zion National Park and they were perfect for hiking/canyoneering! I highly recommend them!
