How about a little recycle with that rain jacket? Columbia made the Women’s Powells Pick Rain Jacket with Omni-Tech waterproof breathable fabric, fully taped seams, and a 57%-recycled lining. The adjustable storm hood helps keep your hair and glasses dry while an interior security pocket shelters cash when you sightsee. Pull the hem drawcord to block chilly wind.

Bottom Line: Recycled Rain.

Packable? Yes! it will zip into it's own packet. I would get a large if I were you. Rain jacket's don't have to be fitted, a little extra room is actually optimal. Enjoy this fine piece!

This jacket is SO great - it's lightweight, breathable and the green color is very pretty - it's nice enough to wear even when it's not raining. I have received many compliments.

they all test off the scale in waterproofness, and set the bar for breathability. The greatest variation is in the pattern and color pallet

Great looking and very high quality. The bark color is gorgeous - like a mahogany. Rugged, light, but not too light.

But has anyone else noticed static cling in the arms? It crackles every time I put it on and sticks to my cotton shirts - no matter what shirt I have on.

Great Rain Jacket!

By:
October 22, 2009

I got this jacket after hiking with my old one in a 4-hour persistent rain that drenched me to my underwear. What a difference this jacket makes! It keeps me dry and looks great too. Plus plenty of room for layer beneath. Looks great either on or off the trail. The hood folds away nicely when not in use so you can't even tell there is a hood. When you need it, the hood works well (though I pull out my wide brim rain hat in a serious rain on the trail). I really appreciate Columbia's product quality and attention to detail.

Columbia wind and rain jacket

By:
May 19, 2009

I just love it, it keeps the rain off and the extra piece
on the hold keeps your face and if you wear glasses from getting wet.
The material is breathable so even on warm days you do not get overheated.
