Downpours on camping trips or snowstorms in the city—the Columbia Men's Phantom Spires Parka keeps you dry wherever you encounter nasty weather. Not a drop of moisture gets through the seam taped Omni-Tech Storm-Lite shell. Pull up the hood to protect your noggin from the downpour, or remove it when the weather clears up. Columbia added a powder skirt to the Phantom Spires Parka for weekend ski trips. They even gave this waterproof jacket a removable microfleece liner for increased comfort on horrendously cold days in the woods or in your own town.

Bottom Line: You remain un-phased by nasty weather when you wear the Columbia Phantom Spires Parka.

Good Jacket for nasty Conditions

By:
April 19, 2007

This jacket is a good jacket for going out in the rain and wind because it keeps you dry and the wind cannot penetrate the shell. I love the hood on this thing because it has this draw string that you can pull tight around your face in turn blocking all the wind from reaching your inner core. In Ct we get lots of snow and sleet and the hood came in handy. As for the rest of the jacket, its top notch. This jacket is ideal for being out in rough weather.

If you buy it on line, make sure you pick the right size. In my case I got a bit tricked by the size. Order than that; this parka is versatile, good quality, good for el dinero($)! Hasta la vista...

Columbia Phantom Spires Parka

This jacket is great. I purchased the black jacket in a large. I am 6'-2" and it fits perfect. The jacket has a cool internal iPod pocket. The hood is great, fits any ski helment. The liner is fleece which kepps me pretty warm in Colorado storms but the pits zips come in handy when the jacket gets hot. The jacket is worth the money with a seam taped finish, powder shirt, and omni tech finish. Worth the money.

THE best mens Columbia snowboard/general jacket

By:
March 12, 2007

I looked at a LOT of Columbia jackets and even emailed Columbia's store in Portland back and forth to find this model. It is one of Columbia's highest priced and highest spec'ed mens parka. It has ALL the feature you want, almost nothing it spared.
