    Not Made for Hips

Small jacket fit perfect on top, but I have wider hips and it did not fit properly. Unfortunately I had to send back. Super cute, bummed customer

    Rain, rain keep pouring

I love the PNW for it's rain and this jacket is amazing for this weather. The waist band is somewhat inconvenient with it being stitched in but other than that I love the look as well as it's durability. Definitely keeping me dry. 👍🏼

SERVES THE PURPOSE minus the looks

it has been rainy in the past week and I finally had the chance to wear this rain jacket. Its' water proof material is light and effective under light to moderate rain. I wonder if it will be equally effective on heavy downpour. The fit is tight on the hip area. The belt is stitched permanently along the hip area which gives the middle section of the jacket an awkward appearance when tied.

      Good but...

I really love the look of this jacket. It looks really high-quality, and it really keeps the rain out (just spent 2 weeks in England).
I do not like the fit of it, though. It is very tight on the hips with no stretch. It does have a 2-way zipper, so you can zip the bottom open to give it more of a flare, but then you risk your clothes getting wet at the bottom! I love it, just wish it fit better at the hips.

      Cute style, but...

I really wanted to like this and keep; however the belt was something that bugged me (meaning where sits on me) and will work for many others I'm sure, but just didn't fit my body type very well. It is definitely it very stylish and with Columbia it will keep you dry, but not suitable for my needs.

      Rain Rain Go Away

      • Fit: True to size

Being a true Pacific Northwester, means you don't own an umbrella. But it does mean you have an awesome lightweight but heavy duty rain jacket. Decided to finally try out some Columbia gear. Got this jacket in the 'Peat Moss' color and LOVE IT. I'm a sucker for earth tones. The trench style jacket is classic, and always in style. The tricky part about this jacket is that the belt on the jacket is sewn in and attached, so there's not the option of being able to wear it without (woulda made this 5 stars). The back of the jacket is super cute. It's got a cute panel that is loose and shows off a little bit of mesh. Love! It's a very fitted, feminine cut as well. I first bought a small and decided to return it for a medium instead. 5'4, 135, I broad shoulders, bigger bust and hips. Medium fits pretty snug. If i had a more slender shape, this jacket would fit way better. Ehh oh well. Still love it. If you're like me and you're picky about where logo's are, the 'Columbia' is on the arm sleeve, by your shoulder. Nicely done. =)

      Cute, functional rain jacket

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

I bought this jacket in black for a six-week trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway. I wanted something that was functional for rainy weather, and cute. This was the perfect choice. It rained every day in Russia, and much of the time in China. In cold weather you definitely need to layer underneath this (it's just a rain coat), but I prefer that to having a too-hot rain jacket. Honestly this coat was so cute I didn't mind wearing it ALL the time. I am 5'8, 150 pounds, and the medium fit great. I have really long arms, and the sleeves were even long enough, which is never the case with coats on me!

      Love!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

Love this coat! Perfect for comfortability and actually staying dry, but still looking put together.

I am a size 0 typically, but have a larger bust. I debated between an XS or S for a while, but the XS fits very well.

Love it so much that I wish I had it in all the colors.

Great coat but not for me...

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: True to size

I really wanted this coat to work, I love the style and the function as a windbreaker/spring coat/rain coat. I am 5'6" ~130lbs however I have broad shoulders and long arms. I have a hard time finding coats that are long in the sleeves. I ordered a Medium and unfortunately this one wasn't quite long enough. I know a Large would swim on me so that wasn't an option.

      Just what I needed

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

This jacket is light, has a flattering cut, packs easily, and does the job all while making me look good. Very water repellent. The hood is a great size, actually sits forward of your forehead a little to shield your face. I wore this jacket on a trip to Ireland last week and I have no complaints. I ordered a small and was worried that it would be tight when layering over sweaters but it was perfect over a thick sweater. I am 5'5", 125lbs with a smaller bust.

      Awesome raincoat

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

This raincoat is the best! Great for a cool rainy day...but not a cold winter day. I have used it several times and it keep me dry and still looks cute! I can wear it to work with more dressy clothes and also on the weekends when I am walking around the city. Highly recommend this coat!

      Unanswered Question

Am I gathering correctly from the photo that the lining is only on the bottom in the front? What is the rest of the jacket like? Is it a bare coating? I've had the interior coating on a TNF shell flake off and have been wary of unlined rain jackets ever since.

In case I do decide to go for it, a sizing question - 5'0", 118 lbs, larger bust - which size would work best?

I am from Florida and when it rains it is a hot muggy rain. I am having a hard time finding a rain jacket that is not layered. Would you say this is a thin or light weight material?

      Unanswered Question

Could you please tell me how it says it can be washed? I am trying to see if the off white one is a good choice and can be washed or stick to the black if not easy to wash. Thank you.

In Illinois the winter is very strong, so I would like to know if this jacket will protect me when the temperature reached -10C.

      Thank you

      Jessika Queiroz Severino,

This is a rain jacket that has no insulation. I would suggest you look into some down fill insulated jackets for the cold temperatures you experience during the winter in Illinois.

      Hey Bekah,

Its really had to judge with only your height and weight since a lot of different body types carry weight differently. If you could include your bust measurement so that we could better compare your specs against the size chart then we might really be able to narrow down your size. I am however a gambling man and based on the limited info we have I would be you are about a womens size 8 which would put you in a medium.

I'm trying to choose between the small and the medium. I'm 5'5" and weigh 120 lbs. I would like to layer with this, and normally wear a small or extra small when it comes to TNF jackets. How does the shoulder width compare to TNF jackets?
