Take along your Columbia Women’s Pagora Mid Omni-Tech Hiking Boots when you expect muddy terrain, rain, stream crossings, and snow fields. These waterproof breathable hiking boots help prevent soggy socks. With a mid cut, the Pagoras not only stem the tide of moisture they also add support around your ankles without adding a ton of weight to your feet. Gusseted tongues keep out trail debris, and cushioning midsoles paired with a rigid nylon shank absorb impact, provide stability, and can get your feet through a mellow overnight backpacking trip. Columbia included an antimicrobial in the footbed so your partners don’t need to bring along air masks for when you take off your shoes.

Bottom Line: Comfort and support for damp trails.

Great Buy!!!

Bought the boots for a ski trip in Keystone, CO. I wanted something that I could still use in Atlanta, for hiking as well. The boots are attractive, warm, comfortable, and true to size. It was fairly warm in CO three weeks ago, and my boots kept great traction on the many slippery Breckenridge sidewalks. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Hey, Valerie. This is possible with pretty much any hiking shoe or boot out there. Ideally, you're looking for good fit, durability, waterproofness and warmth - but you can achieve this combo a number of ways. To me, fit is most important, so I'd go with a shoe or boot brand that you know fits your foot. Chose a waterproof version. Wear comfortable, warm, wicking socks. I prefer merino. For extreme cold days you can put a neoprene layer over your boot. The Crescent Moon Neoprene Overbootie is a good example. I snowshoe run, and I actually use my biking booties over my lower profile running shoes to the same end. Then throw your gators on and go.

Horay!

These boots are great! Waterproof, and warm! They fit very well (I fit very traditional size shoes). I have no blisters, no breaking in necessary. They also look great. We just had our first Lake-Effect snow storm of the year, and these boots are holding up perfect. One of the features I like is you can tighten just the TOPS of the shoes, preventing snow from getting in.
