Columbia Omni Shade Bora Bora Jr Booney Hat - Kids' - 2009 BCS

I have two adult-size Booneys for myself. I love them. I bought one for my daughter and was extremely disappointed that the hat has no chin strap--this is one of the reasons I bought it. The chin strap on my hats has come in handy on many occasions. I don't know why it was eliminated on the child version. Anyway, I am returning it for a refund. I am also disappointed that I have to pay for shipping, since the product I received is not as described.

We spend quite a bit of time outside and I'm very 'sun conscious' I have been looking for a good hat for my 4 year old daughter for a while now...this one is DEF. worth it! the mesh around the top lets her head breath, she can even keep in on while she's running around and her head won't sweat! i also love that it has an adjustable pull string around the top so i can fit it to her head best or i can let it out a little when her hair is in a pony tail. it also has a slider piece for the neck in case it's windy. she will be able to wear this hat for years to come, I can even wear it with the top let out all the way!! for sure worth the 25 bucks! oh and they shipped it SUPER fast!

edit to add: the brim of this hat is a great length and stiffness. it doesn't flop down in her eyes but it shades her face, neck, shoulders and part of her chest VERY well (depending on where the sun its ex: overhead or setting) and it holds it's shape very well! it also rolls/folds up great for travel and pops out like it's never been packed!
