When you're hiking from a blustery alpine pass to a steamy mountain valley, you need a pant that can keep up—the Columbia Men's Omni-Dry Limitless Convertible Pant. These lightweight and stretchy pants feature zip-off legs so you can convert them into shorts when the temps rise. The Omni-Dry Limitless Pant wicks moisture and dries quickly, and it protects with a UPF 50.
Bottom Line: The Columbia Omni-Dry Limitless Convertible Pant breaks the boundaries of pant tech.
These pants are very light and comfortable in hot weather. My only complaint is that the material makes a 'swishing' sound when I walk...I feel like I should be going to the gym or something. I'm 6'3" with a ~33" waist and the 34x34 size fit perfectly.
Which is better, i.e. more comfortable and functional, for road cycling: a gusseted crotch, or non-gusseted crotch? Sure, a gusseted crotch allows greater movement, but does it create uncomfortable and irritating irregularities against a bike seat?

These pants are possibly the perfect pants for late spring/summer. So lightweight and breathable that you probably won't need to zip em off unless temp/humidity is nearing 100. They also dry in minutes.
I had a very hard time finding convertible pants at a local store that I liked, so decided to buy a pair that I had never seen or tried on based on others feedback. I was not disappointed at all in this purchase. The quality is great, and these pants are excellent. The only issue is they run large. Definitely get a smaller size than you normally need on the waist.
How's the cut on these? My spouse has muscular legs, and because of this, he usually buys "relaxed" fit jeans. I'm worried that this are more of a modern, trim fit and might not have enough ease for him.
Cut will be our athletic cut from Titanium. I too usually wear relaxed jeans and these fit fine across the hip/quad area. Titanium pants do a have a little taper to them to avoid getting sloppy while hiking and such but the upper leg fit shouldn't be an issue.
Nice pants and okay shorts. Not crazy about the front zip pockets, it's like I'm where my ski pants. They fit well and have a great breathable, somewhat quick drying fabric. I like the 2 back pockets and that they zip. Good pant overall.
I wore these pants A LOT during my three week or so trip to Europe. The zipping pockets made me feel pretty safe from pick-pockets, although I'm not sure that I was necessarily any safer. I wish the shorts had been longer. Kind of wish they had cargo pockets of some kind, since the standard ones are pretty small, but oh well. Overall, good pants. I'd be glad to go on long hikes with them, and having been on a few long hikes in harsh conditions, I can say that these would hold up just fine.
These are great pants that I will be using a lot this winter. They are light weight but have a softshell feel to them. The zippered pockets make it look more technical than casual but Im happy with them.
