    Light, slim, warm.

When you need to stay warm during mid-winter storms on the slopes, slide the Columbia Women's Mighty Lite III Insulated Jacket underneath your weatherproof shell. This jacket's synthetic insulation and Thermal Reflective technology work together to keep the heat on while you wait for first chair.

    • Water-resistant Omni-Shield advanced repellency helps protect you from the wet during a surprise snowball attack in the resort parking lot or at the lodge
    • Omni-Heat reflective technology uses a dotted lining to reflect and retain your body heat while also wicking excess moisture, and Omni-Heat synthetic insulation adds to the heat so you can stay warm on storm days and chilly lift rides
    • Active fit and sleek look mean this jacket works well under your ski shell and on its own around town
    • High collar, wrist gaiters, comfort cuffs, and adjustable drawcord hem block out the cold
    • Two front pockets warm your hands while an internal security pocket holds your cell, ID, or cash
    • Item #COL3886

    Wrong Color

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I ordered this jacket in color "emerald" and it was not at all how it appears on the website. It's a very bright teal. Really disappointed because I paid $8 to have it shipped quicker in time for my trip. Now I have to pay $6.99 to ship it back for a return. I did a general Google search on the item and it showed the color as it was shipped to me. So beware when ordering!

The jacket itself is awesome. Comfortable, warm and fits well. I love the thumb hole sleeves. Sad to return it..

    This is my second one

I had a orange/red one but my husband kept calling me a "saucy tomato"so I got a second one in emerald green. Love this jacket- I live in Minnesota (Yup- that sub-zero winter wonderland) and this is my winter jacket. Light weight, easy to pack, not bulky at all and I stay nice and warm. Word of warning though- I am very active in the winter so if you plan on using this to sit on bleachers it might not be warm enough.

    Great lightweight jacket, but warm.

I ordered this jacket to replace my old one that I have had about 5 years. This is the best jacket! Love it! It is lightweight, but warm. It's not a heavy winter jacket, but serves its purpose here in Georgia. I use it daily and is great for early Spring baseball weather. The Omniheat warms you up when the sun is out on 50-60 degree days, but its light enough for upper 60-70 degree weather too. I am exchanging the jacket as this one ran a little larger than my old jacket. I am 5'8, 135 lbs with broad shoulders and long arms. I typically wear a medium or large shirt. My old jacket was an XL because I like a bigger fit with shoulder room, but the XL was too big this time. I have 2 other Columbia jackets in other colors/styles and they are XL too. Saying that, I do not consider myself an XL. I am sure the Large will work perfectly once I receive it!
Backcountry is great! They ship quickly and exchange quickly if needed. The only downside is no free shipping on returns .

    Great Cool Weather Jacket

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I got this jacket as a gift for my mom, as I bought a similar style coat and she wanted one for herself. The best thing about this coat is that you can wear it just about everyday for all types of activities. It looks great as a casual jacket to run around the town in, and also is a solid mid-weight under layer for those extra chilly days outdoors. My mom is 5"9 so she has trouble finding coats that fit in the shoulders as well as the right arm length. This coat is a great fit all around, and looks good with everything.

    Another great lightweight jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Just received the jacket today and I can see why it is so popular. It's lightweight, warm and it fits very well, which are things I look for in a good jacket. One of the major things I really like about it is that the sleeve length is perfect. On some jackets, the sleeves tend to be just a tad short and it can be annoying at times, but this is not a problem as the sleeves are nice and long enough to cover my wrists well and not ride up when moving around. I'm about 5'11

Lots of warmth for the weight!

I got this jacket about ten days ago and have been wearing it pretty religiously since then. So far, I absolutely love it! Here's why...

Fabric: super pretty. It's got a very faint plaid texture to it; you can really only see it up very close, but it looks nice. The fabric has a nice sheen to it, but I wouldn't call it shiny. I don't like shiny and I do like this.

Color: Columbia has come a long way with their women's colorways... it used to be basic boring colors but they've definitely expanded that, which is awesome. I got this in emerald and it's a beautiful, rich teal green color.

Fit: SO awesome. Any time a lot of reviews say the arms are too long, that's a bonus for me because jacket sleeves are almost always too short for me. I'm 5'9" with a lanky build and monkey arms and the arms fit great (I got a size L). The thumbholes are nice too! They're a tiny bit shorter than I'd like them (they tug just a wee bit) but that's par for the course with long arms. The fit through the body is incredibly flattering. It's not puffy at all and has a nice tailored feminine fit while still giving a good range of motion. Nice and long through the body and the collar comes up to just under my chin - I like this both for warmth and for style.

Comfort: I was really surprised at how warm this is! It's a very light jacket and feels pretty thin, but it's nice and toasty! Not winter coat toasty or anything, but then again it's not a winter coat. For walking the dogs on 35-degree mornings it's just perfect. Also makes a great layering piece under a rain shell for swampy days. I did wear it alone on a sprinkly day and the water beaded on it, so it's definitely at least a little bit water resistant... not going to test it in a deluge or anything, but it held up just fine on a misty/rain sprinkle day.

All in all, I absolutely love this jacket and would 100% buy it again!

    Daughter loves it!!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this for my daughter. Shes 5'4- 115lbs. I bought the XS and it fit her good with a little room for layering. She loves the sleek look without the puffiness and says it very warm and has gotten many compliments in college on it.

    Versatile Jacket!

This jacket is great, I've use it casual, skiing and even for backpacking because it is truly lightweight. It is also warm and when the weather gets too cold you can layering.
I bought the purple one and the color looks similar to the photos.

Just wasn't what I was looking for

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I initially bought this jacket thinking it would be a cheaper version of the Nano Puff, nope.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great jacket, I LOVED the wrist sleeves with stretchy thumb holes, but the jacket was rigid, not very breathable, not packable(by backpacking, or concert going standards), and I was not a fan of the plaid texture-pattern.

In short: Is a great jacket for someone who isn't super active and just wants a lightweight, pretty warm, & small jacket.

    Favorite.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I love this jacket! It is so great. It's really low profile, really lightweight, very warm, and flattering. I want one in every color. I can wear this alone on really cold winter days if I'm moving around (walking the dogs, hiking, xc-skiing...) But I usually wear a shell over it if I'm not moving around too much. It fits true to size, I purchased a size Large (5'8" 38" chest, 30" waist) I love it.

    Good jacket.

I am not a fan of Columbia sportswear.. I do believe they give a good bang for the buck when buying for the family.

My wife asked for one and I hesitantly obliged her. It is a nice jacket and it even has a fairly flattering fit. I guess I was expecting something a bit more dumpy fitting. She likes the longer and open cuff ends with the thumb loop cuff liner.

Overall I would say this is a worthy purchase. Time will tell how well the Omni heat liner will hold up.
