Don't let a little rain stop your next outdoor adventure. Wear the Columbia Men's Granite Tors Shell Jacket when things get stormy. This jacket easily stuffs into its own pocket to save you precious space in your pack. The Granite Tors shell features fully taped seams and a full-time hood to keep you dry during an unexpected rainstorm. Versatile Jacket

By:

This jacket is pretty solid in all aspects. It's lightweight, durable, and stormproof. Some drawbacks: the zippers snag quite often, but the material is durable enough to withstand it. Also, the jacket lacks any real pockets. The front pit-vents are makeshift pockets, but not very secure. You also need to open the pit-vents otherwise the jacket doesn't breathe very well. The jacket comes directly to the waist which is a little higher/shorter than the average rain jacket, and the arms are a tad longer than the average rain jacket (I wear a 33/34 and the cuffs rest on my palms). But overall, it's such a solid jacket and you can wear it in any situation from cool, windy weather to a NW downpour.

Great for Seattle

By:
October 6, 2008

This jacket is perfect for Seattle's rainy season. It's light so you can wear as many layers as you need to to keep warm/cool and will keep your torso and head nice and dry through the months of mist and drizzle. Note that if you are looking for a jacket to keep you bone dry in a downpour you will probably want to look at something with a bit more coverage as this jacket doesn't go down past the waist. Also, it has no pockets, but the vents are really nice if you get pretty warm just walking around like me.

Stylish Jacket that keeps you dry!

By:
March 25, 2008

I bought this jacket mainly for the rainy season that I can wear over my soft shell jacket. It does as it promises and more!. This jacket is also good for the snow, as long as you wear a good insulated windproof jacket underneath. I highly recommend this jacket.

Piece of Shit

By:
June 24, 2008

this jacket is extremely poorly designed. the zippers do not open or close brand new off the rack, without use, first time i tried to open/close them, they snagged, after upwards of a half hour of unsnagging, they finally came loose, again i tried to work the zipper, and they snagged, repeat. The water proofing is also extremely lacking. DO NOT BUY.
