what is meant by winter casual? This coat will be used in the cold winter of Chicago. The child walks to school and I want to make sure it will keep her warm during her two and half blocks

Hey Linda,

Winter casual means we do not suggest using this a performance gear; so no hiking 14ers in this one. As far as kicking it around town or walking to school I think your daughter should be more than fine in this jacket.
