The Columbia Men’s Double Whammy Jacket brings a combination of weather resistance and warmth to your winter day on the ski hill, in the mountains, or around town. Omni Shield advanced water repellency blocks all but the worst storms, and the Microtemp synthetic insulation slices through the winter chill. Columbia added plenty of pocket storage for your cold-weather essentials, and the adjustable hood zips off for warm, bluebird days.

Bottom Line: Now that’s a double whammy.

Really? Who would take the time to steal an inner liner, and not the whole jacket?

I got this jacket in october and have been using it for skiing nearly every weekend sence. Regardless of weather this jacket holds up. I can ski below freezing wind chill days and be fine with just the double wammy and a thin layer underneath. I have skiied in pooring rain all day and stayed warm and dry and the jacket is not saturated the next day. awesome jacket, amazing price

There is no standardized temperature rating for clothing. I can tell you that with proper base and mid layers, this jacket will suffice for activities in well-below freezing temps. I have seen a lot of these at Mile High Stadium on cold football days...

What timing!!...I got my Double Whammy just in time to get pounded by 24 inches of snow. So far, I've only used it to shovel out a driveway and a few cars, but in the sub-freezing temps we've had in the Northeast, it has worked great! For a thin jacket it's exceptionally warm and incredibly mobile.

If you do, buy a size larger than normal. This is actually the NEW Double Whammy II Jacket (Sea Salt wasn't available in the previous Double Whammy Jacket.) This is NOT part of Columbia's "Interchange" system of jackets/parkas...the insulated lining is _sewn_ into this jacket and is not removable. Still a fine jacket (as opposed to a "parka" which has the removable lining) for all around winter sports. Be aware however that this jacket's seams are NOT taped nor is the outer surface "waterproof". It's coated with Columbia's proprietary DWR coating and is labelled as such "water resistant".
