The Columbia Little Boys’ Cypress Brook Jacket keeps your little man dry and comfortable on those unexpectedly wet days in the mountains. Made with Columbia’s Hydroplus fabric, this jacket prevents rain from seeping in and chilling him to the bone, while the polyester mesh lining allows the jacket to breathe when he works up a sweat. Two front pockets stash his fruit snacks and favorite toy, and the storm hood amplifies the pitter-patter of the rain for his wild imagination.

This is a high quality, well-made jacket. My 5 yr old is pretty tall and skinny and the 6/7 fits well. The hood is a good size and the overall size is big enough that he can wear it over a fleece for some extra warmth. The seams are all taped. We haven't tried it in a full-on downpour, but so far it seems very water resistant.

Often times Kids equipment is just not as technical as it should be. I bought this jacket so that when fishing and hiking my son could stay out in the elements and stay dry. Most of the kids rain jackets are not water proof but this one is and it's highly packable. If you need a kids jacket that can handle the elements this is the one.
