Bash out with the Crash Out.

There's nothing like taking the Columbia Girls' Crash Out Jacket for a wintery weekend at a resort. Its Omni-Tech membrane blocks wetness during snowstorms and remains breathable so your girl won't get soggy from the outside or the inside. The 150g synthetic insulation keeps her warm without adding a ton of bulk, and the adjustable powder skirt blocks snow when your girl comes in contact with pesky snow snakes. And the Outgrown grow system means this jacket is here to stay through multiple seasons.

Great all around winter coat for kids

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

Got this early in the season, never know with Midwest winters. Daughter loves the color (white oceanic) bright and easy to spot her even in snow. It's longer in the body so with the extendable sleeves will last two winters no problem. Had to read the instructions twice on how the sleeve extension works, actually have to pic or cut an inner thread that keeps the sleeves shorter at first.... Will be next year before I can review how much of a difference there is in length but a great idea. Reflectors are a nice touch and should be helpful if traffic is ever an issue. Fits about right maybe slightly big but good for fitting layers underneath.

Great Warm Jacket for the Ski Slopes

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

Love this jacket. My daughter wore it snow skiing this week and it kept her nice and warm. She can wear an Adult M but we ordered the youth size XL to save money. It was probably a little short but it worked fine (she is 5'7). She said it was very comfortable and I loved that I could spot her from a mile a way!

Hi I am from Santiago-CHILE. My dauther Love this jacket so much! Its great because here in Cordillera de los Andes sometimes weather changes a lot in one day! She did feel very confortable with snow, sun and windy day!
Great jacket! Hope to see you in Chile! Thanks

All Around Snow Coat

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

"So far this has been a great jacket for my daughter. She's worn it to build snowmen and ski in freezing temperatures with no complaints. I bought an XS for my smaller-than-normal six-year-old and it's large enough that I expect she'll get 2 or 3 years out of it. And I love the large internal pockets so she can schlep her own granola bars around at the ski resort!"

Kept my daughter warm while skiing

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My daughter wore this while skiing this weekend in negative-degree weather. It kept her warm and dry. She had a blast.

Outgrown is great!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Columbia jackets are great for kids - this one is no exception. But the thing that makes them awesome is the outgrown system. Allowing you to make the arms and legs longer for a second season is a money saver! The sleeves seem to need it more than the legs, but a simple 2 minute process and you have a jacket that fits like you bought it yesterday - not a year ago.
