Description

When you don't want to bother with a bulky jacket, grab Columbia's Cathedral Peak Vest.

Wear the Columbia Men's Cathedral Peak Vest over a hiking shirt or under a ski jacket for extra insulation. Thick, soft fleece traps body heat around your core, so you can keep breaking trail or making turns when the temperature drops a few degrees. Off the mountain, zip up the standard-fit Cathedral Peak Vest over a T-shirt for some extra warmth, color, and casual style.

I am 6'3" 275 and ordered this in an XL. The vest was actually a bit baggy, but also short. This fits a little different than the other Columbia Fleece I bought (also an XL, which is tighter and longer. Unsure if I will keep this. The quality is good, so if it fit a little differently, I would keep it for sure.

I use this vest to keep warm in the city. Light weight and not bulky, but a great collar to ward off the chill.

It gets the job done: keeps you warm, and for a great price. You just have to take into consideration that it wears a bit large (well at least for me).

For the price, this is a good vest, but they run really large. I'm 6'4" and 230 with a 46" chest and 36" waist. I was absolutely swimming in the XL and had to return it for something more form fitting.

Good: lightweight fleece, two front pockets

Bad: no elastic band or drawcord in the waist (drafty), zippers are not YKK, i don't believe the fleece is Polartec either. The cut seems a little short for longer torsos.

This is a decent fleece vest for the money, but look elsewhere if you want something with a more athletic fit and extra features like an elastic waistband or a zippered chest pocket. I found the fit to be rather plain and boxy compared to Patagonia, TNF or EB vests that i've owned. However, my wife owns four of these vests and the women's style is much more flattering.

This is exactly what I needed. A light weight fleece vest that isn't very bulky under my ski jacket and works perfect on those cooler days when you need just a lil bit more. Its not windproof or waterproof, but for me its a base layer.

Great buy! Perfectly advertised. Light weight, great for layering and looks nice. I purchased two, and wear them all the time. Great over T shirts or over button ups for the office. Great good price, good product and great delivery!!!

I wanted a cheaper fleece vest. Normally the cheaper fleece (vs the $$$ windstopper fleece) is thicker and warmer. Plus when I where it under my Mountain Hardwear shell, I have full mobility with my arms, and still warm. Great cheap vest.

I ordered this vest as a gift and when it arrived it was the full sleeved version. It was worn before I was told what was received so I couldn't return it. The full sleeved version is nice, but I really wanted this vest and I was disappointed.

I wear shells for skiing, and layer up according to what mutha nature serves up. So the Cathedral runs BIG, I was counting on that for layering over my microfleece.
Does have a thick neck and two nice zip pockets.
Functional, not flashy!
Oh, got the large and it is on my 6'2", 195 lb frame.
Stole it on SAC.

Surprisingly inferior quality product. Overly light (which I generally like...), but poor form. No gathering at bottom. Only plus - Backcountry accepted return & credited our account with no hassle or wait.

My husband works outside in the winter weather and he loves this vest. It is warm and allows freedome of movement in whatever he does. As for me, I throw it in the washer and it's good to go again.

Sorry to say I was not pleased with the quality of this fleece. It's cut very wide and short. The XL I ordered did not fit a male who is a typical XL in everything.

However, I will say I was extremely pleased with BackCountry's return policy and pre-paid return shipping label!!

For the price this is a fantastic buy. I am 5 "11 165 and i got the medium. Fits well, large enough to fit a microfleece underneath or a jacket on top.
Only Con's are the collar that is a tad tall for my taste, and the waist has no drawstring.

You can't beat this vest for the price. It is only 100 weight fleece but it does a nice job of insulating your core and keeping in the warmth. Has 2 lower pockets but I have a hard time getting to them with my pack on.

Never pay full price for this vest, it is always on sale somewhere.

I just bought this vest and I was immediately disappointed. It was advertised as a fleece but the material is more like a crushed velour and certainly doesn't seem very durable. The zipper pulls on the pockets jingle like sleigh bells- literally. Good price- but not a good value- sending it back
