If you like to get extreme in the deep freeze but your extremities never stay warm, try the Columbia Bugaglove Max Electric Glove. Its three levels of battery-powered heat can accommodate the coldest fingers.

  • The cowhide leather outer shell features an OutDry membrane for flexible, waterproof, breathable protection from the elements
  • Cowhide palm grip increases durability and tactile sensitivity while pre-shaped fingers don't need to be broken-in before use
  • Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining and insulation retain heat whether the heater is on or off
  • A switch on the backhand lets you turn the heat on low, medium, high, or off
  • Padded leather knuckles protect your hand while skiing thick trees
  • The gauntlet and one-hand shock chord cuff ensure no snow gets inside while you tumble down the mountain
  • A waterproof zipper and Techlite battery pocket conveniently stash the included power source on the back of the wrist without letting in any moisture
  • Glove includes different wall chargers for international use and can be charged via USB port on a computer

Bottom Line: A fully featured glove that eliminates your finger-numbness problem once and for all.

What type of heating elements are used. Other high end heated gloves had stainless steel filaments or carbon fiber filaments.

What is the battery size? Where are the heating elements?

What is the battery size?

Where are the heating elements? For example, are they on the front or back side of each finger?

Can the heating elements be felt when wearing the gloves?

The size of the battery is 2 3/4 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide, and just over a .5 inch thick.

The heating runs on the sides of the fingers not on the front or back of them. That way you have the movement you are use to. The heating elements cannot be felt when wearing the gloves.

The batteries lasted five hours for me today. I keep them set on low, which is warm enough for me. I also use the ninja option which allows you to set the gloves so that the LED is not constantly on. I have noticed longer battery life using the gloves in this manner. 30 degrees, 1 foot of PNW powder, Stevens Pass, Wa.
