I love these boots and wish we had had them earlier in the year. They are easy for him to put on himself and serve many fuctions. Since they have good traction he has used them for winter hiking as well as the usual snow play. They are very toasty. I think they are the best looking boy's winter boot I've seen and could easily pass as an all-around, everyday winter shoe. They seem to be pretty true to size but I'd order up if in doubt. I hope they continue to make this style for a few years because I'd love to buy another pair.

Hey Melissa,
I picked these up for 2 of my boys and they haven't had any problems. The only issue in warmth was when my youngest pulled his bibs up and let snow get down inside. They messed around in deep snow all last winter and they also used them for snowshoeing......kept their tootsies warm the whole time.

This is second year we are buying these same boots. Waterproof, warm and cozy. My son loves them and I do too.

They should hold up to most winter conditions for kids. IF they are running around in large puddles of water for an extended period of time (an hour or more of Water) then they will eventually show some seepage. For normal winter use and sledding they should keep the feet warm and dry.

We are spending our first winter in Norway and have been through 2 pairs of boots before this for my 9-year-old son. Finally! A boot that keeps the snow out during play, keeps his feet warm, has good traction, and is totally comfortable. Bonus- they look cool if you ask me. Seriously considering buying a larger pair for next winter - if only I had a crystal ball for sizing...

Kids shoe sizing actually are the Men's scale.Ladies 7 equals a about 5.5 in Kid's.
