Columbia Bora Bora Booney Hat - 2009 BCS

I have had this hat for 14 years now , and it just finally wore through, this past weekend. It has been to Africa, the Amazon 8 seperate times, and countless other trips, it keeps my face and neck shaded and cool, the mesh on top lets hot air out and lets the cool breeze in. My friends are gear nuts like me and have spend 2 or 3X's on sun hats from different companies, and have replaced them, as i kept this stalwart companion with me for years. I will buy another and hopefully it last another 14 years. Best sun hat out there, period

This hat easily keeps my head and neck in the shade. The brim is very wide and stiff so it stays where it is most needed. The mesh around the top of the head really lets the hot air out on those marches up the steep trails. It does exactly what it was made for, keeping me cool. Unfortunatly I think it looks stupid. It looks like i'm wearing a plate with a hole cut out in the middle; it looks like a drill sergeants hat. But it works! 4/5

This hat is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I do a job that in the summer used to wear me down mid-way through the day. With this hat keeping me cool I'm able to go all day! The mesh allows the air to get into your head and the sweat band soaks up any sweat that tries to trickle down your head.

I absolutely recommend this hat. It's a great value.

Great hat, I have the khaki colored version. Keeps you cool thanks to the mesh and has a UPF of 50, can't ask for more. Wore it out in the yard today and kept the sun off my head and neck. Can't wait to take it to halfdome!
