We got this in the sweetpea color for my 20mon old. The 2T fits well. Its a cute jacket, its great quality and was not overpriced. The built in mittens have been nice on a few occasions and worth it, but I will say that they get in the way more than I thought they would with the extended sleeve length.
Do I recommend this for what it is?: Yes
Would I buy second one?: No

Overall this is a good coat. I actually think the fleece is nice and thick and keeps her warm. I would agree that it runs small, as I ordered a 4T for my just 3-year old daughter and it fits perfect with maybe a little room to grow. However, the sizing chart seems to be right on - so just follow their sizing recommendations.
My daughter does not like the mittens - they don't have a thumb so it annoys her. But I think that if we are outside and it's biting she may not mind it. We'll see.

This item is not as heavy weight as I thought it would be based on the description of it being a jacket. It is un-lined lightweight fleece, not suitable to be used as a jacket in weather that would require mittens. It also runs very small. My toddler wears a size 24 months so I ordered a 2T and would not fit her.
