Just as advertised

I am 5'9" and have purchased a size M. The fitment is very fit wrap around your skin kind of thing, so even though there's extra fabric for taller guys, it doesn't bother me. The fit is also nice, doesn't feel tight on the skin, I can wear this all day and almost forget its there at all. Probably should have gotten a heavyweight for sub zero temperatures.

Looking for long underwear that will keep me warm when I am duck hunting. Not much activity in a duck blind so I need something that will help produce and keep existing heat contained. Would these be a good pick? Thanks All!

Thums up columbia

These thermals are another great product from Columbia. They have kept me warm and dry and even when I was doing some serious activity I didn't sweat up much in them. Others I have are sweaty and sticky after a days snowboarding but these seem to be really dry. They also fit nice, they aren't too tight and are cut nicely. Definately recommend these.

Excellent Base Layer Tight

Took a chance on this one not knowing much about it and have been very impressed with the quality and functionality.

It does exactly what you need this layer to do, keep you warm when it's biting cold and shed excess heat as you warm up. Fit seems true to size. Overall I'd give it a recommend to any guy looking for a solid base to their cold weather activities.

Very good

First thing that I noticed is that it is easy to get over my ski socks, unlike my under armor cold gear. You can feel the heat being reflected back to you as you move during cold days. I have yet to over heat wearing these, and I do a good amount of skinning, hiking, and traversing.

Hi, I am 184cm tall (approx 6ft) and weigh 90kg. I usually buy size L from Columbia - but for tops base-layers. For this bottoms long underwear, would you advise me to go for L size or for M size?
Thanks!

Alex, I think you could probably wear the Medium if your waist size is 34" or less.

the tops in bottoms

I was a cap buyer for ages... I moved to wool for 10 years... and then this came along. I have flushed the fur from my baselayer lineup after just one day in this baselayer. The OmniHeat makes it regulate. the first day of use was a Fall run. It was 38F and overcast. I wore this top with a light shell and was just fine on a jog for 2 hours. It did not wet out nearly as quickly as the other pieces i have worn.

Skiing... I went cat skiing and spent some time hiking in the high alpine. People were going hot to cold, as they hiked then sat and waited their turn. I was one temp all day and the temps/conditions were all over the place that day.

It regulates and fits great. This is the first 5STAR i have given (this and the top piece too)
