Aquatooth Shoe - Women's

Pull on your Columbia Women's Aquatooth Shoes and take a hike in the Zion Narrows. These sandals look and act like trail runners, except that they're amphibious. A mesh upper keeps pebbles out of your shoe and allows water to drain. A toe bumper prevents big piggy from getting stubbed on a rock. The removable footbed features an antimicrobial for odor control—a good idea in a shoe that spends a lot of time wet. The cushy EVA midsole also has drainage holes, and the lugged outsole helps you stay upright on wet rocks.

Bottom Line: From river rafting to hikes up river-filled slot canyons, the Columbia Aquatooth Shoes protect your feet.

The new style to look for is the Hydratooth. This is an upgrade to the aquatooth.

These are awesome shoes. Bought a pair last year & wore them everywhere...fishing, canoeing, all day concert-going. They're also my lawn mowing/gardening shoes. Just pop them in the washing machine & they come out like new. Still in great shape but I had to get another pair for a back-up.

will these work for water aerobics? --- I purchased these before I got the answer below. I just wanted to mention I have been using these now for the past 3 weeks or so in my water aerobics class (3x per week) and they have been great! They keep my feet much more stable than the aqua sox I used to use and the water flows right through. They have dried out inbetween classes and I've actually been asked where I got them as several other class members noticed & admired them. I can't speak to the longeviety, but so far these have been wonderful!

Love them in Water Aerobics

I use these water shoes for my 3X weekly water aerobic classes. The fit is great and they have held up wonderfully in the chlorine so far. They provide much needed traction in the pool and I get lots of compliments on them. I would buy again. My only possible negative comment would be that they need at least a full days time to dry out, which isnt an issue for me since I have a day off between classes.

Shoe fit to size. Not much break in time before I went on a 9.5 mile hike and white watering rafting. Shoes were great, not one blister. Columbia water shoes wonderful!

I would recommend sizing up a 1/2 size if you are wanting to use thicker than usual socks.

No break-in needed!

By:
July 7, 2008

I found this shoe by accident while vacationing in Seattle in June. The weather turned cool and my sandals were not cutting it. I ducked into a Columbia Sports Store and bought these to get me through the 5 mile urban hike to the Rose Gardens from downtown. I expected blisters and issues common with new shoes but had none!
The only drawback is the color selection. The colors are all "girly" and some are just plain gaudy. No neutral colors or earth tones for women :-(

Great shoes

I work on a boat and spend 12+ Hours a day on my feet and these shoes have been great. No blisters and my feet don't arch in the morning which happens in some other shoes. I throw them in the machine every couple of weeks to keep them fresh. Love them and thinking of a back up pair.

these rock!

amazing fit - I thought they might not accommodate slightly thicker socks during cold weather hikes but the shape and size are perfect either with or without socks. the full mesh upper is going to feel amazing during the summer heat of the desert and ultra functional for Zion Narrows hikes upriver. the lugges sole is going to get me thru any terrain I might find myself in. not a fan of light purple details but the rest of the shoe is perfect!
