Keep your son warm and dry all winter long in this insulated, windproof, and waterproof jacket.
Your heir apparent doesn't feel cold, but you know by his blue lips that he does get a little chilly after ripping tricks all day long, whether the sun is out or the snow is pounding. The combination of Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining and 100g Microtemp XF insulation work to keep your son warmer, longer. The insulation prevents cold air from getting in, and warm air from getting out. Omni-Heat reflective lining essentially returns emitted body heat back to the torso, reducing the amount of thermo-regulation your son's body must perform to maintain optimal warmth. Finally, Omni-Tech face fabric and sealed seams keep water out, so long as your little shredder spends more time upright than making snow angels.
A microfleece lined hood traps heat escaping from his head, and an adjustable powder skirt prevents snow from slipping down his pants when he flips tricks that make you a little nauseous. A media pocket lets him bring a cell phone or music player, even though what he listens to doesn't resemble music. He won't misplace his goggles due to the goggle pocket, and the zippered arm pocket provides safe and reliable storage for his season pass. Whether your son skis, boards, or walks to school through waist-high drifts of snow, he'll stay warm and dry in the Alpine Action jacket.

- Q & A
hood is too small
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Bought this because my son has been wearing a similar older Columbia jacket for the past few years and it's served him very well.
This one seems nice, but the hood is smaller than on the older version...too small really, because it doesn't quite extend over his forehead and looks like it wouldn't keep rain out effectively.
So I am sending back.
Pretty boy jacket
- Size Bought: L
My son is 11 years old, 1.50 meters tall. Now it's a little big, but it's OK. The little boy's body is growing fast. I believe it's just good to wear this jacket. The little boy loved it, and in the winter of the snow, the little boy and his little friends, we need to play in the snow all kinds of fun, and a bit of a trick game, we are also the same as in a child. When he knew he had put on the jacket, it was snowing in winter, not to worry about the cold weather, to play in the snow. After he tried to put on his body, he said, "great," he said.
Zipper blew out in a month
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
The zipper is complete junk. I would keep looking.
