I'm live out on the blizzardy SD plains- this jacket is great from the fall to the spring! The snow, rain, and ice bead off the jacket. The hood is larger than most with a bill that keeps the elements off your face and hair. Also, the back of the coat is slightly longer so that nothing blows up the jacket either! Very warm without any of the bulk.

Do all Columbia 3 in 1 jackets run a little big? I usually wear a size 8 in a top or a medium in a jacket, but I tried on a Columbia Bugaboo parka and needed a small. I want it to be big enough but not way too big.
