This powerful, portable Coleman Blender chops ice and blends ingredients quickly, so you can mix up a protein shake at camp before heading out on a hike. The blender uses two included 6V rechargeable batteries for power, and two green LED lights indicate the current battery level. Coleman included 12V and 120V chargers in the base, so you can power up the batteries wherever there's an outlet. Enjoy 20 to 30 pitchers of smoothies, shakes, or chopped ice on one full battery charge. The 48-ounce pitcher features measurement markings and a pour spout, and it locks into the base for convenient transport.

Bottom Line: Take blendin' on the road with the Coleman Portable Blender.

We are on our second brand new blender, and we can't get the blender to take a charge. Is there a simple answer for my problem?

Thanks,

According to Coleman:

"To Charge Battery:

When the battery is fully discharged, it will take 10 to 12 hours (on average), but may take up to 16 to 18 hours, to fully recharge it. To obtain maximum performance, charge for 18 hours for the first three cycles. Always charge the battery immediately after use whenever possible. Charge indoors using a household source."

So it sounds to me like you must charge it the first three or so times with the 120-volt adapter on a household plug, and for quite a long time. So, I don't know if you are doing those things, but they also note that "a small light located on the body, next to the adapter cord hole, will glow when the charger is connected correctly. If the light is not on, the blender is not being charged." So you should check for that.

Sometimes devices like this with built in batteries, the factory will put in little plastic tabs that separate the contact and the battery for shipping and initial storing. Look for something like that perhaps. Let us know what the solution was if you find it.

Good luck tracing the problem down.

Boating with the Portable Blender!

By:
June 1, 2009

We needed a portable blender for our sailboat. I wanted to make smoothies with lots of ice and I needed a blender for the boat which could crush the ice and blend the drink! I was skeptical that it would hold enough charge BUT to my surprise, this is the BEST blender! Was advertised to hold up to 30 blends and It has consistently held it's charge for at least 3 weekends now without recharging and it blends the smoothies to perfection! Love it and I am not just saying this! It works! Great for on boats!

To add what Andrew wrote, you will need what is called a "step down voltage converter" (from 240 to 110v AC), which you can find on the internet for $10 - $20USD. You can also use the supplied automobile charger, but that would take some time were that your only charging source.

No they only come with the 120v charger. You would have to use a converter from U.S. to Malaysia voltage to get it to work.
