I have used this salt and pepper shaker on a few trips. This shaker does not have a good connection between the lid and case, it keeps falling off and spilling the contents. Also, there is no seal between the lid and case and moisture builds up inside. I have switched to the "Light My Fire Spice Box" I purchased at Fontana in Madison, WI (backcountry.com should carry this item!!!).

Campers/backpackers: Save your money and save weight: save the little salt and pepper packets from restaurants. Also do the same with salsa packets, ketchup, mustard, relish, tabasco etc. My philosophy: the packaging should weigh LESS than the product.

I prefer freshly ground pepper, but this little item is very compact and slender with a good seal on it. Keeps both the ground pepper and the salt easily at hand. Fits in nicely with my other cooking ingredients.
