Light your campsite with the Coleman Family Size LED Lantern. On its highest setting, this lantern emits 175 lumens of light and runs for 35 hours. On the low setting, it runs for 50 hours—which means you can use it four nights in a row without replacing the batteries. (Speaking of batteries, the Family Size Lantern takes eight (not included) D cells.) Use the nighlight setting to comfort your kids when you put out the campfire. This LED lantern never feels hot to the touch, lacks a dangerous flame, and defies light rain and wind.

Bottom Line: This Coleman LED Lantern provides plenty of light for long family camping trips.

Not exactly sure but my tent is 19'x12' (excuse me not tent, vacation home)
and it lights it fairly well, at least well enough to get around by or for a few people to play card, read. My old eyes aren't what they used to be but I can get around without difficulty. You still may want some smaller lights for individual tasks (reading etc) but overall works well for the money.

For the price it's a good convenient light source. Still not as bright as a propane lamp but is safe for inside the tent

Given the size, I think it would be a bit heavy for carrying around just to do that. There are a few companies making headlamps and headlamp accessories specifically for tracking blood trails, and they would be a much better option than this 3 lb. plus battery weight lantern._____________________________A headlamp is the way to go.
