While you know you can keep up with the guys you ride with on the trails, you don't have to show up at the trailhead dressed just like them. Club Ride Apparel's Zest Shorts are clearly built for women who ride and loaded with the practical features you need for all-day resort riding or commuting with a tailored, flattering cut.

The Zest's lightweight, breathable fabric includes a DWR treatment and it isn't afraid of a few run-ins with rocks and sharp branches. Club Ride cut the shorts' adjustable waist high enough to stay in place while you ride without necessitating a belt and included a gusseted crotch and a versatile 8.5in inseam. Far from too-short territory, the 8.5in length feels at home on everything from XC to trail and all-mountain rides and leaves plenty of room to accommodate knee pads. For the times you ride on the road to get to or from the trailhead, the Zest includes reflective accents that will help you stay visible.

The waistline is way to low on these shorts. I don't have a flat stomach so while the shorts technically fit waist/hips and are even baggy, they are gappy in the wrong places and the waist is in a very uncomfortable and unflattering location. They should include crotch-to-waist measurements in the description (about 2 inches shorter than my old super comfy shorts!) These are definitely very low low riders. I imagine mega plumbers crack if I actually wore these to ride in.

Do these shorts have a liner?
