Like the masked crusader of its namesake, the Cloudveil Men’s Zorro Pant is there when you need it and barely noticeable when you don’t. Made from lightweight Cloudburst 2.5 shell fabric, the Zorro provides waterproof breathable protection for backpacking trips, day hikes, or streamlined ski tours. Bought these as a replactment for some Bellweather biking pants I had misplaced. Nice try, but not so much. Waterproofing was ok, pockets, and side zips all worked as expected, but cuffs of these pants are way too poofy for cycling. First super heavy cell i was caught out in the Uintas here in Utah, poofy cuffs shredded in my drivetrain, and after cowering from lightning for 40+ minutes in hard driving rain, I was soaked through. All that being said, I returned these with a heavy heart because I could tell they would probably be awesome for shoeshoeing or spring skiing, if only I hadnt purchased them to use in an activity other than what they were intended for... hence the 'adequate' rating I've given them. Decent product, just not what i needed.
