Great Jacket

By:
October 7, 2009

This jacket is great! It fits true to size, I'm 5'3" and 120 Ibs and got a small. My friend got a medium and the sleeves were too long for me, but the small is just right. I don't think it's too short. I've taken it out in the rain, snow, and wind and it's been perfect. It's very lightweight, I plan on taking it backpacking with me next summer. The only minus is that the hood has a bit of a hard time making it over my head when I'm wearing a bulky warm hat, but other than that it's fine.

Not what I hoped for...

By:

Have been looking for a sporty raincoat and this one looked perfect based on the pictures. I'm 5'4" 115 lbs and purchased a size small. It was actually much shorter and snugger than it appears. I was looking for a jacket that fell below my waist and covered my butt. It hit me just at the hip. And the arms fit poofy. Sent it back the same day.

awesome rain jacket

A few days after I bought this jacket I went for a hike and I brought this jacket with me. There was a 30% chance of rain, but being in the mountains, you never know what kind of weather to expect. Boy, am I glad I brought this jacket with me - it started raining, but this jacket kept my top half nice and dry! Cute cut too. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Does this product have a waterproof syntetic on it or is the material made so that it is water proof. I have trouble finding jackets that will withstand a summer's worth of backcountry use. Thanks.

Its up to 10K waterproof. If you want something that works as raingear tryin spending the money once on something like Arcteyrx or Mountain Hardware. Its more up front but both compains will take more than one season so it pays off in the long run. I used to do the same thing as you then i did the math and paying 200$ once for years of use is better than paying 70$ every year.

Adorable, but not practical

By:
April 13, 2009

When I received this coat I loved the look. Nice color, cute cut. The problem is, the cut is too cute to be practical. My other size medium rain coats are kind of bulky and long, but that's what makes them practical-covers the butt, can fit a sweatshirt under them. I got mine packed up to send back the same day as well.

No Vents can be a Deal Breaker in Wasatch Spring Conditions

By:

Great deal for a great raincoat. However, I wore the Zorro skiing on a warm blue-bird day shortly after buying it and pit vents would have made all the difference. Opening the front pockets allows for some ventage but I'd recommend the Marmont PreCip over this jacket for overall versatility (PreCip's also got a bit more of a feminine shape) though it's a little more expensive.
