Cloudveil Zero G Jacket - Men's - 2006 BCS

Super ski jacket, that is perfect for most conditions. I have always liked stretch comfort of softshell, but have never seen anything warm enough for lift serviced skiing until I found this jacket. Just right amount of insulation for temps in 30's to single digits depending in layers. Super comfortable and a good length, not too long nor too short. Also like low key style and jacket has held about well over 1 winter of use.
Only nitpicks would be would like a powder skirt and an internal pocket. Highly recommended

This is a great jacket for skiing, kicking around or whatever. The stretch material in the shell allows for great mobility and range of motion. I found the price point to be much better than other comparable pieces (Mountain Hardwear, Arc'teryx). The fit is somewhat generous allowing for some layering underneath. Arc'teryx tends to have a closer fit and is therefore less versatile unless you buy a larger size. I ski with a helmet and like the fact that this piece does not have a hood.

This insulated softshell is a beauty. Northern New England and Northern N.Y. skiing can be brutally cold, which makes this a great choice for cold weather outings. I have skied whiteface mountain in -18 and never got a chill. No need for a mid layer- you simply choose your base layer wisely. When it's in the single digits or colder, I wear a heavy base layer such as a power stretch top, and go ligher on warmer days. Too many layers and you will overheat. Rugged construction that keeps the wind out and breathes quite well. When it warms up I go to the Cloudveil Serendipity softshell jacket, which is a very versatile jacket that works in almost all conditions. These softshells can even take light rain. I gave my hardshells away years ago. No one does softshells like Cloudveil. Think Snow!

Just picked one of these up for a new ski jacket. Nice to have PrimaLoft insulation. Makes this jacket a great piece for the ski area. Two thumbs up.

So long hard shells with that Gore-Tex stuff. Soft Shells Rule! And an insulated one! Freaking killa, crazy killa! I am sooo, warm now! Thanks to the goat I got the stella deal and thanks to Cloudveil for visionary products!

If you need an well made insulated jacket look no further. Cloudveil has balanced good look and total functionality for the snow sports lovers. It will shed precipitation and keep you toasty warm. I bought the large and have room under it for the gridlock jacket. Weather on the slope or diner you will be warm and looking sharp.

I am tired of sitting on lifts in my shells freezing my butt off. So I got the Zero G and it is Warm. Softshells also look good and feel good.
The Couldveil jacket does seem to run a little big. The medium I got has longer sleeves then most of the mediums I have.
